The Chasen Brew Matcha Set contains everything for authentic matcha preparation: bowl (Chawan), bamboo whisk (Chasen), ceramic whisk holder (Chasen Yasume) and bamboo spoon (Chashaku). The cream-white bowl is made from premium ceramic in our Portuguese workshops. Its smooth surface makes whisking effortless, and the practical spout allows drip-free pouring — or enjoy your matcha straight from the bowl.
Every piece is handmade and therefore one of a kind: colours and glazes are applied by hand, and because each piece is thrown on the potter's wheel, every shape is slightly different. We consider these natural variations part of the beauty. Ceramic: food-safe, non-toxic, dishwasher-safe. Bowl dimensions: approx. ø 11.5 cm, H 7 cm.
Add 1–2 g of matcha to the bowl with the chashaku, add 50 ml of hot water (max 80°C) and whisk with the chasen until a fine foam forms. Enjoy it pure, or add milk (hot or iced) for a latte.
It's simple: all our ceramics are dishwasher-safe. Please don't put the wooden and bamboo pieces (whisk and spoon) in the dishwasher — wash them by hand and let them air-dry.
