The Chasen Brew Matcha Bowl (Chawan) elevates your matcha ritual: its creamy white finish with a subtle pearlescent shine makes it both elegant and functional. The smooth surface ensures effortless whisking, and the practical spout allows easy pouring without spills. It is made from premium ceramic in our Portuguese workshops — for those who value tradition, quality and aesthetics in every cup.

Every bowl is one of a kind: colours and glazes are applied by hand, and because each piece is thrown on the potter's wheel, every shape is slightly different — natural variations in colour, size and weight are part of the beauty. Ceramic: food-safe, non-toxic, dishwasher-safe. Dimensions: approx. ø 11.5 cm, H 7 cm.

Add 1–2 g of matcha to the bowl, add about 50 ml of hot water (max 80°C) and whisk with a bamboo whisk (Chasen) until a fine foam forms. Enjoy it pure, or add milk (hot or iced) for a latte.

It could not be easier: our bowl is dishwasher-safe. Protect it from strong temperature shocks and it will bring you joy for a long time.
